Beatrice Eriksson insists on the need to repatriate children from Syria

In a report for Just Security, Ronak member Beatrice Eriksson reminds us that the Kurdish administration in Syria´s northeast has appealed repeatedly to the international community to repatriate the approximately 10,000 third-country nationals who are not from Iraq. The leaders of many of those countries, however, have lacked the political will to live up to their responsibilities. The result is what human rights advocates and lawyers have called a new “Guantanamo on the Euphrates.”
